ALESSANDRA FOGLIANI
Piano
Alessandra graduated in piano with full marks and honours from the Conservatory-equivalent "Orazio Vecchi" Institute of Musical Studies in Modena under G. Ruozi and M. Castellano; she also holds a Degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. She studied choir conducting and attended the Imola Piano Academy and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, while taking various masterclasses in Italy and abroad. As a pianist, composer, arranger, and choir director, she won the 1st prize of the International Café Tango Music Award for original compositions. She wrote music for short films and theatre shows including Magnitudo Emilia, a reportage by the journalist and photojournalist Annalia Vandelli for whom she was musical curator and performer. The online edition of the Espresso magazine dedicated its home page to project. She took part in live radio broadcasts, including Raise the Volume and Fahrenheit, curated by Rai Radio 3 and broadcast by the Turin International Book Fair. She collaborated as a pianist in the recording of several CDs, including Satomi Yanagibashi Greatest Hits (1996), Concerto by Enrico Zanella (1999), Café Tango Music Award (2008), La valigia dei suoni compilation live (4th edition, 2009), Joyful Soul Gospel Experience (2017) and Avenida Sud Napoli - Buenos Aires (2018) produced by Radici Music Records. She works with Italian actors and voice actors on literary readings and has several musical productions to her credit together with Tango fatal, Libertrio project, Stefano Cattini Openyourarts, Andrea Oliva and Barbara Vignudelli.
